People like to understand things. We like to understand ourselves and why we do the things we do. Sometimes we notice patterns of behavior within ourselves, but we don't understand why they occur.

I know personally that it can be very frustrating to continue these patterns of behavior that aren't accomplishing what we want. It was after years of trying every pill, diet and book available to finally be able to understand that I may not always be able to control what is going on around me but that I can be O.K. with myself while I am figuring it out. I can treat myself well!
